Three sisters find their lives suddenly disrupted when their parents, Eve and Arthur, separate. Eve has a nervous breakdown because of the separation. Her daughters, who disapprove of their father’s plans for divorce and remarriage, bear most of the burden of Eve’s shattered life. But, Arthur decides to go ahead with his re-marriage to Pearl…
