The film traces back to Kosaku’s own experiences with his mother as she ages and loses her memories. Protagonist Kosaku lives apart from his mother, Yae, since a young age. When his father dies, he becomes responsible for taking care of her. The two attempt to reconcile the complicated history of their family, while Yae’s memories of her son start fading away…
