瑛雪是個父母早早舉家移民、自己卻受害於政治漏洞，無法合法定居香港的泉州女子，離婚後的她，含辛茹苦帶著兩個孩子；而在另一端的家鄉，她的舊識好友王老師和小英，也或多或少和她面臨著一樣的處境，同聲感嘆著她們曾懷抱過的夢想。曾以《音樂人生》破天荒獲三座金馬獎的導演張經緯，再推出這部令人感同身受的紀錄片新作。

Xue is a divorced woman with two children from Quanzhou who fights for her right to live in Hong Kong. Back in her hometown, Ms Wang and Ying, her two old mates, are in the same situation more or less and memorizing the dreams they once had.
